The Job
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Additional Resource Provision (ARP) Teacher to join the school’s SEN team. In this role, you will:
• Plan and deliver tailored lessons and interventions for students with special educational needs, particularly those within the ARP.
• Differentiate the curriculum to meet the individual needs of students with a range of learning difficulties, ensuring they can access learning in an appropriate and engaging way.
• Work closely with the SENCO and other support staff to ensure the provision is fully integrated into the mainstream school setting.
• Monitor and assess students' progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create an inclusive learning environment for all students, including those with SEN.
• Support students' social and emotional development, helping them build confidence and self-esteem.
• Implement strategies and interventions to support students with communication, sensory, and behavioral needs.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Could This Be Right For You? Are You…

Qualified: Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and have experience teaching students with additional learning needs.

Experienced: Have experience teaching in a special needs or ARP setting, or a strong interest in developing your career in this area.

Skilled: Demonstrate strong classroom management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual students' needs.
•
Personable: Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development. You’ll be someone who enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to providing an inclusive educational experience.
Desirable Skills:
• Experience working in an ARP setting or with students with a variety of special educational needs, including autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.
• Knowledge of specialized teaching strategies and resources for students with additional needs.
• Experience using and creating individual education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
• An understanding of current SEN legislation and best practices in special education.
