About Us:
Our client is a nurturing and inclusive Special Educational Needs (SEN) school, dedicated to supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs. Our committed team works collaboratively to provide a stimulating and supportive environment where every pupil can thrive and reach their full potential.
The Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Welfare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the health, well-being, and personal care needs of our pupils, ensuring they are comfortable, safe, and happy throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care to pupils, including assistance with toileting, feeding, and hygiene, in line with individual care plans.
  • Offer emotional and physical support to students, promoting their well-being and dignity.
  • Administer first aid as required (training will be provided).
  • Support pupils during break and lunchtimes, encouraging positive social interactions.
  • Work closely with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to implement care plans and ensure the needs of each student are met.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the appropriate staff members.
About You:
  • Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly in an educational or care setting, is desirable but not essential.
  • A caring and patient nature, with a genuine desire to support pupils with SEN.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
