Would you like to work in a 2 time a two-time rated outstanding SEN school based in West Wickham

Create Education have partnered with a two-time rated outstanding SEN school in West Wickham is seeking to appoint a qualified and committed Science Teacher to join its established team from September 2025 (or earlier if available) for maternity cover for a full school year. The pay scale is outer London MPS/UPS & SEN point

The successful candidate will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to contribute to Key Stage 5 depending on experience and specialism.

You may currently be working in mainstream education and looking for a new challenge. The school is an outstanding secondary special school for pupils with moderate learning difficulties and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and well-structured science lessons that support student progress and understanding
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental initiatives
  • Monitor and assess student achievement in line with school policies
  • Participate in the wider life of the school, including enrichment and extracurricular activities
The successful candidate will:
  • Hold PGCE/QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant degree
  • Demonstrate sound subject knowledge and a clear understanding of current curriculum developments
  • Be committed to supporting students of all abilities to achieve their potential
