Primary Teaching Assistant - Greenwich

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant, supportive school in the heart of Greenwich. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a rewarding role, working alongside talented educators to make a difference in the lives of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Classroom Support: Assist teachers in delivering interactive and engaging lessons, preparing learning materials, and working with small groups to reinforce key concepts.
  • Individualized Assistance: Provide tailored support to pupils, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), to ensure they can access the curriculum effectively.
  • Behaviour Management: Promote positive behaviour, following school policies to create a safe and respectful learning space.
  • Progress Monitoring: Observe and record pupil development, offering constructive feedback to teachers and contributing to assessment and planning.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Previous experience working with primary-aged children (preferred but not essential).
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting young learners.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
OFSTED Highlights: In the most recent OFSTED inspection, the school was praised for its effective safeguarding measures, noting that "The arrangements for safeguarding are effective."
The report also highlighted the school's leadership, stating that "Governors are ambitious for all pupils and staff. They have a clear understanding of what the school does well and what it needs to do to be even better
